are from Bonnie Deitrich's art class, Alliance, Ne. The project is the rare
Nebraska art bass. Hopefully, I'll get an update from Bonnie at a later date
and show how the project turned out.

"Rocko" gets a friend.
Alliance, Nebraska, November 2007: I made the return trip to Alliance to
visit my brother and family, and perform some more artist-in-residence
projects. The first order of business was to create another mascot for
the high school. Last year's "rocko" the bulldog went so well that it
was decided to create a female companion for him. I created the armature
for "Rochelle" in my brother's workshop and once again the art classes
at the high school layered the sculpture with different types of paper.
The last coat of white is our way of recycling old test papers and such.
Thank you to Medelice Wirtz for the photos of Rocko and Rochelle. BIG
Thank you to The Carnegie
Arts Center for once again sponsoring my appearance.

Another Fine catch!
The "school of fish" project continues to
swim around the country. This has been one of my more successful
programs, and as you can see from Bev's completed piece above, the
program is for kids of all ages. I'll be writing more about the fish in
future updates. Thank you to all who have made a fish!
